Promoting mental health with a range of services
Services available at Ulverston Mind
At Ulverston Mind we offer a range of services to support people individually or in groups. We aim to provide as much help as we can, from answering one-off requests for information to offering longer term specialist services such as counselling and mental health advocacy.

Post Natal Support Group
You may be aware that, unfortunately, due to lack of funding Post Natal Wellbeing Cumbria (PNW) will cease to exist. After speaking with staff from PNW we have been able to set up a dedicated Post Natal support group. We understand the loss of this service is distressing to its users and hope that you will feel able to use our group. To ease this transition the managers from Mind will be attending current groups in Ulverston and Dalton to introduce themselves. Also we are fortunate to have Lorraine Morgan, a current volunteer with PNW assiting with our sessions.
Aims and Objectives
These are Ulverston Mind's aims and objectives.
Listening Ear
If you want to offload to someone in confidence, and be sure that you won't be judged then we can arrange it.
Advocacy
An advocate is someone who can speak or act on your behalf, if you are unable to do this, or who can support you to speak for yourself, so that you are listened to and your rights are respected.
Information
We can help with information, leaflets and books on topics from Stress to your rights if you are not happy with medical treatment.
